Meet Anne, our founder. Lawyer, mother … and procrastinator. After watching her son put more effort into avoiding his violin practice than actually playing, she began to notice a pattern. It was a pattern she recalled others in her family struggling with – and a trait she recognized in herself. The problem wasn’t doing the work. The real problem was getting started.  When struggling to get started goes on day after day, week after week, month after month, it becomes avoidance, and avoidance becomes a downward spiral. Not only that – it just doesn’t feel very good.

Most people are only truly productive two or three hours per day. Procrastinators?  Sometimes they only manage an hour, sometimes less (or even none). What if, with a little help, a procrastinator could gradually double – or even sextuple – their lone hour of productivity? Well, then you’d have 6 Brix! Even for non-procrastinators, that sounds like something!

Anne wanted to create a simple process that would, when used regularly, short circuit the procrastination cycle, build new habits, and help someone become one of “those” people – you know, the kind who seems to have more than 24 hours in their day. Her research led her to the conclusion that setting aside small, manageable amounts of time to work on specific, identified projects ends up being far more productive than dedicating endless hours to “work.” The result? 6 Brix. In science, Brix (°Bx) refers to the sugar content of a water-based solution. Our app is designed to add degrees of sweetness to your life solution – the sweetness of success!
